trashgirl started at some point in the midst of the pandemic by a 16 year old tired of seeing "punk" fast fashion hauls on social media. All items are inspired by alternative culture, you can find influence from different fashion sub-genres in each item, usually inspired by songs or albums. Each item is hand-made with high-quality materials, no exceptions.
All trashgirl items are handmade to order or pre-order only, this is to minimize textile waste. Items are only made once an order is placed, that way we never have to worry about over-production. We are always looking for ways to better ourselves and our planet. If you have any comments or tips to help us become more sustainable, reach out. We don't bite.
Now I can drop the "we" act. trashgirl is just me (Ky!), I design, make, market and pack everything out of my apartment in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Each and every item made is done with so much love and care, a piece of my heart goes into every item I make. It means the world to me to be able to make these items. I am self taught, taught myself how to sew, screen print, make patterns, set up a website... the list goes on. trashgirl is DIY, which is just how I like it. I'm not here to pay someone else to design boring tech-packs for me and get it manufactured overseas. I make my own sh*t, just for you.
